Artist statement
Much of my work involves contrasting organic and mechanical elements into statements about land-use and the manipulation of our environment by human activity. These compositions also explore the physical properties of the main materials in use, typically Christmas tree parts and used Douglas Fir lumber, to produce images that are intricate and hopefully outrageous, foreboding or ironic.
